Around 100 participants from Southeast Asia and Europe, among them leadership of the participating QA agencies and universities, the ASEAN-QA trainees, selected ASEAN peers and AUN assessors and representatives from the partnering organisations AQAN, AUN, DAAD, HRK, ENQA, SEAMEO RIHED are expected to join the conference.

For three days the participants will review the last three years and evaluate the outcomes of the completed training course. Moreover Southeast Asian and European experts are invited to share experiences on current hot topics related to QA, such as qualification frameworks, assessment of QA agencies, learning outcomes and employability.

Until September 23 site visits will be conducted at 21 universities in 10 different countries.  During the site visits a team composed of Asian and European experts evaluate the universities study programs based on the AUN-QA guidelines and criteria. The universities programs assessed, are in the majority settled in the fields of economics and engineering.

About the Project:

ASEAN-QA is coordinated and conducted by the University of Potsdam (Center for Quality Development in Higher Education - ZfQ) within the frame of the DIES programme, which is jointly coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). Partners of the ASEAN-QA Project are the ASEAN University Network (AUN), the Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development in Southeast Asia (SEAMEO RIHED) and two regional networks of QA agencies: in Europe  and Southeast Asia: the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN).
