On Thursday, the 10th November, all participants of the High Level Visit went to Berlin to visit the Freie Universität Berlin and to learn about their internationalisation strategy and faculty management. Everybody appreciated the opportunity to gain an insight into another university's quality assurance system and discussed advantages and challenges. Afterwards, a panel discussion took place at the German Parliament with MdB Patricia Lips. The distribution of state resources for higher education institutions as well as the role of national and state governments in quality assurance at universities were of major interest. Furthermore, the funding of private institutions in comparision to state universities and recent trends in the European higher education system were debated about.

A documentation of the Visit can be accessed here.

The first TrainIQA workshop will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between 20th and 24th February 2017.
