With various activities and sessions such as group work on the institutional projects, role plays and discussions, the participants had the chance to get to know each other and to establish professional relationships for further networking and international cooperation in the field of quality assurance and beyond.
Furthermore, a visit of the Multimedia University was organised to introduce the participants to a practical example how quality management can be implemented. The group discussed the advantages and potential problems of different systems in general and specifically at their home institutions. Another practical example was presented by Lucila Calairo, the Director of the Quality Assurance Office at De La Salle University Dasmariñas, Philippines, who talked about the university's project implementation during the first cohort of TrainIQA from 2015-2016. As an alumni of the ASEAN-QA TrainIQA programme, she was able to talk about changes and challenges regarding the implementation of an institutional change project.
A documentation of the workshop can be accessed here.
The second TrainIQA workshop will take place in Potsdam, Germany, from 24th July to 2nd August.
